“I can’t go unless I know it will be safe.”
“I can’t go unless I know I’ll feel comfortable.”
When your voice says:
“I can’t go unless I know I’ll feel comfortable.”
“It’s safer to stay away until I’m certain.”
Coach Lynn says:
Avoidance can bring short-term relief, but it also teaches your mind that uncertainty is dangerous. A small, safe approach step teaches something different.
Then you say:
Here’s what I need to do:
- Take one or more Composure Breaths to settle my body.
- Choose the smallest safe step toward the situation.
- Decide how long I will stay or what I will do.
- Notice what happens without demanding that it feel easy.
Coach Lynn says:
Courage is taking one small step even when you’re unsure. Each choice builds momentum, loosens fear’s grip, and gives you the power to change your life.
