“I am too much.”

“My feelings and needs are a burden to everyone.”

When your voice says:

“My feelings and needs are a burden to everyone.”

“Better to go quiet before anyone asks me to.”

Coach Lynn says:

This thought turns a specific need into a global rejection of yourself. You can have a need without being a problem.

Then you say:

Here’s what I need to do:

  • Take one or more Composure Breaths to settle my body.
  • Name the specific feeling or need underneath the thought.
  • Express it in one clear sentence to myself or a trusted person.
  • Ask for a proportionate form of support.

Coach Lynn says:

Your needs don’t make you too much. They make you human. When you speak up clearly and ask for what you need, you honor yourself and invite deeper, more honest connection.
