“I don’t deserve kindness.”
“I haven’t earned kindness yet.”
When your voice says:
“I haven’t earned kindness yet.”
“I stumbled, so I don’t get to rest.”
Coach Lynn says:
Self-compassion is not a reward for flawless effort. It provides the necessary foundation for resilience, growth, and steady recovery.
Then you say:
Here’s what I need to do:
- Take one or more Composure Breaths to settle my body.
- Identify a single fundamental element of support I require at this moment.
- Provide it freely to myself, without demanding prior achievement.
- Allow that support to fuel my next constructive choice.
Coach Lynn says:
Self-compassion is not a prize to be qualified for. It is the fuel for sustainable resilience. When you extend genuine care to yourself, you rebuild your strength rapidly and meet your priorities with steady focus and composure.
