“I have to be available all the time.”

“If I don’t answer right away, I’m letting people down.”

When your voice says:

“If I don’t answer right away, I’m letting people down.”

“Being reachable is how I prove I care.”

Coach Lynn says:

Constant availability is not the same as reliable support. A clear response boundary can make your help more sustainable and honest.

Then you say:

Here’s what I need to do:

  • Take one or more Composure Breaths to settle my body.
  • Decide when I will next check messages or respond.
  • Protect that response window.
  • Communicate when doing so is useful.

Coach Lynn says:

Being dependable doesn’t mean being on call every moment. When you set clear times to respond, you protect your energy and give your best to the people who count on you.
