“If I don’t manage this, it will fall apart.”
“If I don’t hold every piece together, it all falls apart.”
When your voice says:
“If I don’t hold every piece together, it all falls apart.”
“Letting go of anything means risking everything.”
Coach Lynn says:
Over-responsibility can make you carry more than one person can reasonably hold. Not everything is yours to manage.
Then you say:
Here’s what I need to do:
- Settle my body with one or more Composure Breaths.
- Make three quick lists: "Mine to do," "I can influence," and "Not mine." Put each piece of the situation on one list.
- Pick one action from "Mine to do" and do it today.
- Pick one item from "Not mine" and let it go. Say: "That belongs to ___, not me." Then stop working on it.
Coach Lynn says:
Caring about the outcome doesn’t mean carrying every part of it. When you act on what you control and release the rest, the load gets lighter and you lead with a clear, steady mind.
