“I can’t make a mistake here.”

“One error here and they’ll know I never belonged.”

When your voice says:

“One error here and they’ll know I never belonged.”

“There’s no room for mistakes.”

Coach Lynn says:

Mistakes are not always evidence of fraud. In most work, learning, and relationships, a mistake calls for a proportionate repair not a permanent verdict.

Then you say:

Here’s what I need to do:

  • Take one or more Composure Breaths to settle my body.
  • Identify the most likely small mistake that could occur.
  • Decide how I would repair or correct it.
  • Continue the task with that repair plan available.

Coach Lynn says:

A plan to recover is stronger than the pressure to be perfect. When you trust yourself, doubt grows quieter, and you can meet the moment with confidence.
