“They made a mistake choosing me.”
“They must have overlooked something when they chose me.”
When your voice says:
“They must have overlooked something when they chose me.”
“My doubt knows better than their decision.”
Coach Lynn says:
This thought dismisses the criteria, experience, and judgment that led someone to choose you.
Then you say:
Here’s what I need to do:
- Take one or more Composure Breaths to settle my body.
- Look at it from their side: "If I were choosing, what would I have seen in me?"
- Back it up with one real example such as a past project, a strength people count on, or a result that led here.
- Pick the most important task on my plate today and start it. Doing the work answers doubt better than debating it.
Coach Lynn says:
Their decision is evidence. Your doubt isn’t the only voice in the room. When you trust what they saw in you, you stop second-guessing and step fully into your role.
