“I only got here because I was lucky.”

“I just got lucky.”

When your voice says:

“I just got lucky.”

“My effort had nothing to do with it.”

Coach Lynn says:

Luck can play a part in many outcomes. That does not erase the choices, skills, and work that helped you meet the opportunity.

Then you say:

Here’s what I need to do:

  • Take one or more Composure Breaths to settle my body.
  • Name one skill I used.
  • Name one action or decision that contributed to the result.
  • Let luck be one factor, not the entire explanation.

Coach Lynn says:

Luck may open the door, but your actions carry you through it. When you own the skills and choices behind your success, you build the confidence to take on the next challenge.
