“I have nothing to show for myself.”
“I have nothing to show for my life.”
When your voice says:
“I have nothing to show for my life.”
“Nothing I’ve done really counts.”
Coach Lynn says:
This cognitive bias filters out any evidence that contradicts the belief that your efforts have lacked meaning.
Then you say:
Here’s what I need to do:
- Take one or more Composure Breaths to settle my body.
- List one contribution, one thing I learned, and one act of care or persistence.
- Let the list include things no one else saw.
- Choose one next contribution that matters to me.
Coach Lynn says:
A meaningful life is about more than what others can see. When you take ownership of your choices, you build genuine fulfillment and success grounded in inner strength.
