When your voice says:

“If I stop worrying, it means I don’t care.”

“Taking a break from this would be abandoning them.”

---

Coach Lynn says:

Caring is shown through appropriate action, not through endless tension. You can care deeply and still release what is outside your control.

Then you say:

Here’s what I need to do:

- Take one or more [Composure Breaths](https://www.dailycomposure.com/what-is-a-composure-breath/) to settle my body.
- Ask: "What's one caring thing I can actually do?" For example, send a check-in text, make a call, or offer practical help.
- If it fits the situation, do it. That action is my care made visible.
- Then let go of how it turns out. Say: "I've done my part. The rest isn't mine to carry." Turn my attention to something else.

Coach Lynn says:

Letting go of control is not letting go of care. When you act where you can and release what you can’t, your care shows up as strength instead of strain.
