When your voice says:

“Soon they’ll see I’m not as capable as they think.”

“Every new task is a test that could expose me.”

---

Coach Lynn says:

That is a prediction of exposure, not evidence that exposure is coming. Feeling uncertain while doing something difficult or new does not mean you have fooled anyone.

Then you say:

Here’s what I need to do:

- Settle my body with one or more [Composure Breaths](https://www.dailycomposure.com/what-is-a-composure-breath/).
- Write down one specific reason I was given this role, such as a skill I've shown, a result I delivered, or feedback I received.
- Ask: "What am I actually being asked to do today?" Name that one task, not the whole job.
- Finish one piece of it well enough to do its job. The standard is "useful," not "impressive."

Coach Lynn says:

You don't have to prove you belong every day. You just need to do the next piece of work. When you focus on today's task, doubt loses its grip and your confidence and composure grow with every step.
